SPECIAL SITTING - IN HONOUR OF THE LATE HONOURABLE WILLIAM A. ESSON

The Court of Appeal for British Columbia will hold a special sitting in honour of the late Honourable William A. Esson on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Vancouver Law Courts at 4:15 in Courtroom 60. Members of the public are invited to attend the special sitting.

THE HONOURABLE WILLIAM A. ESSON

The Court recognizes the passing of the Honourable William Arthur Esson, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and judge of this Court between 1983 - 1989 and 1996 - 2005.  Former Chief Justice Esson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on 14 July 2016.  An obituary may be found here.

JUDICIAL RETIREMENT - THE HONOURABLE MADAM JUSTICE KATHRYN E. NEILSON

Madam Justice Neilson has retired from the Court of Appeal effective 30 June 2016.
