PD-44 - REQUIREMENT FOR APPEARANCE LIST

Chief Justice Hinkson has issued PD-44 - Requirement for Appearance List which sets out the requirement for parties appearing before the court on certain matters to provide the court clerk with an appearance list. PD-44 - Requirement for Appearance List takes effect on January 1, 2015 and replaces PD-2 - Appearance List on Applications.

JUDICIAL APPOINTMENT - MADAM JUSTICE MARTHA M. DEVLIN - DECEMBER 12, 2014

The Supreme Court of British Columbia welcomes the appointment of the Honourable Madam Justice Martha M. Devlin to Vancouver. For more information about this appointment, please see the press release issued by the Minister of Justice. A public welcoming ceremony for Madam Justice Devlin will be held in Vancouver on a date to be scheduled. Information about the welcoming ceremony will be posted on the court's website.

CALL AND ADMISSION CEREMONY - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2014

This event will take place in the Great Hall at the Vancouver Law Courts. There will be approximately 60 to 70 Candidates being called to the Bar. The presiding Judge will be Mr. Justice Gordon Weatherill.

JUDICIAL LAW CLERK PROGRAM, 2016-2017

Applications are now being accepted to the Judicial Law Clerk Program for 2016-2017. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 23, 2015 at 4:00 pm, with interviews to be scheduled throughout February and March, 2015.
