The Welcoming Ceremony for the Honourable Madam Justice Harris, the Honourable Mr. Justice Skolrood, the Honourable Madam Justice Warren and the Honourable Madam Justice Fleming will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Vancouver Law Courts at 4:15 p.m. in the Great Hall. Members of the public are invited to attend the Welcoming Ceremony.

The Supreme Court of British Columbia announces that the Honourable Mr. Justice William B. Smart retired from the Supreme Court at Vancouver on August 31, 2013.

Associate Chief Justice Cullen has directed that the trial of this matter be heard in Vancouver. Although a number of pre-trial matters have been heard in New Westminster, the efficiency of the trial and the ability of the court to control its process, all of which will serve the public interest, require that the location of the trial be moved to Vancouver.
