ANNOUNCEMENT
The Supreme Court of British Columbia announces with deep sadness the passing of the Honourable Donald I. Brenner on March 12, 2011. The Honourable Mr. Brenner was a member of the Court from 1992 to 2009 and served as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 2000 to 2009. He was a gifted jurist and mediator, a quietly confident leader and a supportive colleague with a wonderful sense of humour. During his time as Chief Justice, he was a tireless advocate for improving access to justice and for harnessing the power of technology to transform the justice system. The Court extends its deepest condolences to the Honourable Mr. Brenner's wife, children, family, friends and colleagues.

BCSC - COURT RECORD ACCESS POLICY
Effective February 28, 2011, the Supreme Court will implement a new Court Record Access Policy which sets out guidelines for public access to the court record.

MEDIA STATEMENT - COURT RECORD ACCESS POLICY
